Privacy Policy

Most SignRight tools process your files entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF is never uploaded to our servers. We cannot see, access, or store your documents.

1. Who We Are

SignRight is a product of MicroTech Cloud LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We operate the website at signright.io. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@signright.io.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary to operate the service:

Usage data — pages visited, tool used, browser type, country (via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity). This is aggregated and anonymized.
Payment data — when you pay to download a file, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your card details. We never see or store your full card number.
Email address — only if you create an account or contact us for support.
IP address — collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) in standard server logs. Retained for up to 30 days.

We do not collect the content of your PDF files. Client-side tools process files locally in your browser using JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js). Files are never transmitted to SignRight servers.

3. Tools That Use Server-Side Processing

A subset of tools — including PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, PDF to PowerPoint, HTML to PDF, Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PPT to PDF, and PDF to PDF/A — use a third-party conversion API (ConvertAPI). For these tools, your file is transmitted to ConvertAPI's servers for processing. ConvertAPI deletes uploaded files within 1 hour of conversion. Review ConvertAPI's privacy policy for details.

4. How We Use Your Data

To process payments and deliver downloaded files
To understand which tools are used most (aggregate analytics)
To detect fraud and abuse
To respond to support requests
To improve the service

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use:

Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage stats. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool.
Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps to improve UX. Data is anonymized. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
Google Tag Manager — loads the above scripts. Does not collect data on its own.
Stripe — payment processing cookies. See Stripe's privacy policy.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

6. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics and Clarity's default settings (up to 14 months for GA4). Payment records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years). Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. If you created an account, your account data is retained until you request deletion.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to processing. To exercise any right, email privacy@signright.io and we will respond within 30 days.

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

8. Children

SignRight is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at privacy@signright.io.

9. Security

We use HTTPS (TLS) for all data in transit. Payments are handled by Stripe's PCI-DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure. We do not store payment card data. For client-side tools, your files never leave your device.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of SignRight after changes constitutes acceptance.
